Marble Bathroom

A large master bathroom designed entirely in white and grey Calacatta marble across floors, walls, and shower enclosure. The shower is a generous walk-in space enclosed by frameless glass sliding doors with chrome handles, featuring three tile formats within a single enclosure: large format marble subway tiles on the side walls, hexagonal marble mosaic tiles on the back feature wall, and small square mosaic tiles on the shower floor. Built-in bench seats are fitted on both sides of the shower, and a black matte overhead rain shower and handheld set are the only contrasting elements inside.

Concept

The design treats the bathroom as a single material exercise, every surface is a variation of white and grey marble in a different format or scale. Large slabs, subway tiles, hexagonal mosaic, and small square mosaic are used across the floor, walls, and shower to add visual interest through pattern and texture rather than color or contrast. The white classical cabinetry and molding paneling tie the space to a traditional residential language without competing with the marble. Black marble thresholds and black shower fittings are the only deliberate accents, used precisely to define zone boundaries.
