Rho Apartment – Mint & Blush Kids room

A shared bedroom designed for two children, with each side of the room assigned a distinct color – sage green and blush pink –  while maintaining a unified layout and material palette. Each bed has a custom upholstered headboard shaped as a layered arch, color-matched to its respective side. A shared timber desk with wall-mounted shelving and LEGO-textured storage units sits centered between the two beds.

The opposite wall features a full-height custom wardrobe unit in white with arched panel detailing, circular door knobs, and a built-in timber niche housing open shelving, a TV unit, and fluted drawer fronts. The ceiling has a circular recessed gypsum feature with integrated LED cove lighting and two ruffled white pendant lights hanging from the center.

Concept

The room is designed to give two children individual identity within a shared space without dividing the room physically. Color is the primary tool – green and pink are used consistently on each side through the headboard, bedding, neon sign, and accent chair, while all furniture and finishes remain shared and neutral. The LEGO-inspired storage and arch-shaped headboards introduce a playful, age-appropriate layer to an otherwise clean and organized interior. The layout prioritizes usable floor space, keeping the central area open for play.
